Juveniles arrested for Hatton vehicle prowls
HATTON — A group of juveniles was taken into custody in the early morning hours of Aug. 9 in connection with a series of vehicle prowls in Hatton.
About 2:40 a.m. Aug. 9 Adams County deputies responded to a report of a vehicle prowl and possible vehicle theft in the town of Hatton. The reporting party claimed there were three juveniles wearing masks and entering vehicles. The suspects reportedly fled the scene on foot as deputies were responding.
“Deputies began investigating and were searching the area when they saw the juveniles matching the description,” stated the Adams County Sheriff’s Office. “Deputies attempted to make contact and the juveniles ran. A foot pursuit started. One juvenile was caught during the foot pursuit. The other juveniles split and ran off.”
One of the suspects was located at their residence. In addition, deputies discovered the suspect in question was also hiding a friend in a dishwasher at the residence. The juveniles were taken into custody and a fourth suspect was later located and taken into custody as well.
The four suspects were booked into the Martin Hall Juvenile Facility for second-degree burglary, second-degree vehicle prowling, theft, obstruction and providing false/misleading statements.
