MATTAWA - “Hidden in Plain Site,” a presentation on identifying problems and risky behaviors in teens, will be held on Tuesday, April 23 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Wahluke High School Auditorium, in Mattawa. Attendees will be given the tools to help identify teen drug use, mental health issues, unhealthy relationships and human trafficking.

The presentation will be divided into two parts. In the first park, a mock teen bedroom will be set up. Participants will have the opportunity to walk through the room and try to identify over 70 items that can indicate problematic or risky behavior.

The second part will consist of a presentation to help attendees identify problem items, inform of popular local youth trends and give tools to help attendees help students navigate the teens years.

The presentation is sponsored by the Wahluke Community Coalition, Health Care Authority, Grant County Health Department and Communities Talk Town Hall Meetings. It is open to anyone 18 and older. Childcare is not provided.
