MOSES LAKE — Some vandals hatched a plot Monday night to shell houses and cars across Moses Lake with improvised munitions, egging property in a possible April Fools’ yolk gone rotten.

Though the incidents may not be connected, police responded to three reports of egging Monday morning that likely occurred the night before.

Unknown suspects egged vehicles down the length of South Lakeland Drive, according to police reports. Nearby to South Lakeland Drive, a vehicle on the 1300 block of Hope Court East was also hit by several eggs.

A home on the 200 block of South Vine Street was similarly pelted, with egg residue found on the garage door, front door sign, and around the exterior of the home.

Police are scrambling to put hard-boiled officers on the case, hoping to find the perpetrators.

Outside of egg-based vandalism, mailboxes were knocked over and damaged outside of four residences on the 1700 block of West Marina Drive, a few blocks from the house on Vine Street.
