Advertisement for Pre-Solicitation Informational Meeting Port of Moses Lake - Grant County International Airport Runway 14L-32R Line-of-Sight Rehabilitation Project The Port of Moses Lake is conducting an Informational Meeting to interested contractors and suppliers to explain the draft scope of work and project requirements associated with the future Runway 14L-32R Line-of-Sight Rehabilitation project. This project is anticipated to advertise in May 2019. The meeting will be held on April 11, 2019 at 1:00 PM at the Grant County International Airport, located at 7810 Andrews NE, Moses Lake, WA 98337, in the fire department training room located in the building immediately east of the airport terminal. Following the Informational Meeting, contractors and suppliers can schedule a 30-minutue, one-on-one phone meeting with the Port to discuss the project through April 30, 2019. This would be an opportunity for contractors to express/provide concerns or recommendations regarding the scope and project requirements with Port staff. Feedback provided by the contractors may be incorporated into the advertised project documents. The registration deadline for the one-on-one meetings is April 25, 2019, 3:00 PM. This is NOT a pre-bid meeting and job site walk or an advertisement. Documents posted are in draft form, subject to change, and should not be used as a basis for future bidding. Contractors are advised to make use of the official project manual and drawing set when the project officially advertises. The Port of Moses Lake is not responsible for any costs incurred for attending this Informational Meeting or the use of pre-solicitation documents. Pre-Solicitation Documents will be available at: www.questcdn.com Description of Work The Port plans to advertise a contract in May 2019 to reconstruct an approximate 3,900 foot segment of Runway 14L-32R that has a vertical hump resulting in a line-of-sight issue. The project also replaces lighting, sign, and electrical systems. The project is funded through FAA grant funds. Draft Scope of Work 1. Reconstruction of approximately 3,900 feet of runway, including removal of existing asphalt and concrete pavements, excavation, grading, subgrade preparation, recycling of concrete for project use, placing base material, asphalt paving, concrete panel replacement, and pavement markings 2. Grooving of new asphalt pavement 3. Stormwater drainage 4. Development of onsite waste sites for placement of excavated soil 5. Replace runway and taxiway lighting 6. Replace and upgrade runway and taxiway signs 7. Replace existing Runway End Indicator Lighting System (REILS) 8. Installation of an infrared lighting system for military use 9.
