Sept. 17

Report of a saxophone stolen from the band room at Moses Lake High School.

Police contacted a Moses Lake High School student in reference to a vape machine and pocket knife in his possession.

Park Orchard Elementary requested extra patrols during non-school hours due to drug paraphernalia and beer bottles found on school property.

A man was arrested for assaulting a woman in the 1200 block of South Jefferson Avenue.

Two women were spotted stealing cosmetic items from Safeway. One of the subjects was detained, but the other was able to flee the scene.

Report of shots fired in the 1100 block of West Market Street. Police responded, but no signs of a shooting were found in the area.

Report of a bicycle stolen from the 1200 block of West Ivy Avenue.

Report of homeless subjects yelling at customers at Safeway. The subjects were contacted and advised they were yelling at each other and had calmed down.

Sept. 18

A kitchen oven, broken glass and other debris was found in the middle of the East Third Avenue/North Fig Street intersection.

Report of numerous items stolen out of a garage in the 800 block of South Sand Dunes Road.

Report of an unknown female passing a counterfeit $50 bill at a business in the 1100 block of North Stratford Road.

A man was caught attempting to steal wine from WinCo Foods.

Report of a male and female physically fighting in the area of South Ash Street. The subjects advised they were arguing and nothing physical occurred.

Report of two tires slashed on a vehicle in the 1500 block of North Daniel Street.

A woman was detained at WinCo Foods for stealing frosting. The suspect had methamphetamine and a drug pipe in her possession and was arrested for drug possession.

A driver struck a pedestrian in a wheelchair on East Walnut Avenue. The pedestrian was transported to Samaritan Hospital for treatment.

Sept. 19

Report of a paddle boat stolen from the 1400 block of West Marina Drive.

Two girls at Moses Lake High School were involved in a fight. An assault charge will be pursued against the aggressor in the fight.

Report of a cell phone stolen from the Moses Lake Public Library.

A woman was arrested for third-degree theft after she was caught under-ringing items at Walmart.

A man reported someone stole his dog out of his vehicle in the 400 block of South Balsam Street.

Report of a pre-arranged mutual fight between two Moses Lake High School students in the soccer field after school. The subjects were caught and will be facing charges for fourth-degree assault and disturbing school activities.

A man was permanently trespassed from a fast food restaurant in the 500 block of East Wheeler Road.

Report of two males stealing alcohol from Safeway and fleeing the scene in a Honda passenger vehicle.

Police contacted an intoxicated female in the 200 block of East Broadway Avenue. The woman was transported to the hospital for treatment and her small child was taken into custody by Child Protective Services.

A man reported hearing someone in a vacant house he was working on.

A woman reported that someone hit her vehicle and left a dent.

A pizza delivery person reported that a male ran out of a house and chased him down the road.

Sept. 19

Karl Groenke, 35, of Mattawa, was arrested and booked on outstanding Grant County District Court warrants for third-degree driving with a suspended license and use/delivery of drug paraphernalia.

David Malsam, 32, of Malaga, was arrested and booked on an outstanding Chelan County warrant for fourth-degree assault and a Department of Corrections secretary’s warrant.

Kiyan Brown, 18, of Moses Lake, was arrested and booked on an outstanding Grant County Superior Court warrant for third-degree theft.

Tristan Elliot, 18, of Ephrata, was arrested and booked for fourth-degree assault.

James Alexander, 63, of Soap Lake, was arrested and booked on outstanding GCDC warrants for DUI and second-degree driving with a suspended license.

Sept. 20

Nicholas Jacome, 37, of Kennewick, was arrested and booked on an outstanding GCDC warrant for disorderly conduct and obstruction of a law enforcement officer.

Kenneth Harris, 28, of Moses Lake, was arrested and booked on an outstanding GCDC warrant for third-degree theft and an outstanding GCSC warrant for theft of a motor vehicle.

Alexis Ayala Beltran, 19, of Othello, was arrested and booked on an outstanding out-of-county warrant for theft.
