MOSES LAKE — United Way of Grant County has announced its top 10 corporate contributors and employee giving groups for 2017. The United Way’s Award of Excellence, for the highest employee giving per capita, went to Central Bonded Collectors. Confluence Health received two President’s awards, one for largest employee giving group and for the largest corporate donation. The top employee giving groups were Confluence Health, REC Silicon, the UPS office, National Frozen Foods, Grant County PUD, Central Bonded Collectors, Washington state employees, Hoffman Construction and Federal Express. The top corporate contributions came from Confluence Health, Hoffman Construction, UPS, National Frozen Foods, Federal Express, Central Bonded Collectors, Key Bank, Umpqua Bank, Microsoft and Washington Trust Bank. Each United Way chapter is autonomous, said executive director Tina Wentworth, and is operated by local volunteers. “If we don’t raise funds here, there are no funds to allocate to local nonprofit agencies. The only money we have to give away is the money we raise, which is why it’s so important to get behind this drive,” Wentworth said.
