A semi-truck struck a pedestrian on Highway 281 southbound just outside of Quincy Thursday afternoon, temporarily closing the highway in both directions.

The pedestrian is an adult Hispanic male who sustained injuries and was taken to Quincy Valley Hospital. The victim was then transported by air ambulance to an unknown location. The hospital declined to comment on the patient’s condition. The truck driver was uninjured.
