Travel trailer charred, shop damaged in blaze

EPHRATA — A travel trailer was destroyed and a nearby shop was heavily damaged by fire Tuesday afternoon near Ephrata.
The Ephrata Fire Department and Grant County Fire District No. 13 responded to the fire in the 1500 block of Alder Street Northwest, northeast of Ephrata. EFD firefighters were able to stomp out the flames, with GCFD No. 13 assisting in the total containment of the fire before the flames ignited nearby vegetation.
The travel trailer was a complete loss, while the shop building sustained significant fire-related damages but was not completely destroyed. There were no reported injuries and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
