Soap Lake motorcycle driver injured in crash

| September 3, 2018 6:38 PM

SOAP LAKE — A motorcycle driver from Soap Lake was seriously injured when he went off the road and was thrown from his bike recently.

Jeffrey Lossing, 68, of Soap Lake, was driving a 2017 Zhongnan Wolf Lucky motorcycle south on state Route 17, about 11.5 miles north of Soap Lake, when he reportedly failed to negotiate a curve to the left and left SR-17 to the right, according to the Washington State Patrol.

Lossing was thrown from the motorcycle and airlifted by a LifeFlight helicopter to Confluence Health-Central Washington Hospital in Wenatchee for treatment. The patrol states the cause of the collision was Lossing driving with his wheels off of the road. Citations are pending.
