SOAP LAKE — The body of a man who had been missing for about two weeks was recovered Friday evening in Soap Lake.

Michael E. Clark, 60, was reported missing Aug. 15; he was last seen in the Soap Lake area Aug. 4 or 5.

Kayakers found Clark’s body and notified authorities, according to a press release issued Sunday by the Grant County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies recovered the body and an autopsy was conducted by the Grant County Coroner’s Office. “An autopsy conducted Saturday was inconclusive due to the condition of the remains, but no obvious signs of trauma were found,” the press release said.

Clark was a member of the Colville Confederated Tribes; his body was released to his family.
