Crossroads Center banquet set for Saturday

MOSES LAKE — The Crossroads Pregnancy Center will hold its annual banquet Saturday at 6 p.m., with dinner at 6:30 p.m., at the ATEC Building on the Big Bend Community College campus. “Flowers in the Garden” is the theme for 2018.

The dinner is one of the organization’s primary fundraisers. Donations will be accepted during the evening.

Anna Hoduski is the guest speaker. Hoduski and members of her family biked and ran from Kansas to California over a period of 15 months, promoting the pro-life cause.

The Moses Lake Christian Academy choir will perform also.

Crossroads provides a number of services for women, both women who are pregnant and those who might be pregnant. All services are free.

The center offers pregnancy tests, including ultrasound, parenting classes for moms and dads and a labor and delivery class. There are classes for first-time moms and dads, separate support (and classes) for dads, and support for moms who need extra support, whether or not it’s their first child.

There are support services for moms with postpartum depression, and support for women post-abortion.

Crossroads offers infant CPR classes and first aid for parents. The organization provides baby clothes and diapers for parents in need.

As a Christian organization, it offers prayers and support as well, said director Christy Youngers in an earlier interview.
