Patti Paris for PUD

| October 4, 2018 3:00 AM

I have known Patti Paris for over 25 years. She grew up here in the Columbia Basin and has always been involved in the community and working to help make our area a better place to live.

Patti joined my former company, Columbia Colstor, 18 years ago as our chief financial officer. My company had warehouses in six locations with over 500 employees. We had many customers who dealt with all sorts of food products. She was very instrumental in overseeing our financial interactions with our management team, financial institutions, technology department and customers. Patti worked hard, and was always very honest and truthful. She was concerned about costs and being in the agricultural business of cold storage the margins were always something we had to be concerned about. This was a big job which she took on and helped make our company financially sound and successful.

With her former work experience with the PUD and her experience with my company, we have a unique opportunity to have a very highly qualified person to help guide our PUD into the future. Our PUD is a very large and complex organization that has many outside influences on it: the federal government, state and local demands, wildlife and tribal regulations. We need people in place that have an understanding of today’s issues and can bring management experience, financial and technology knowledge to the commission.

I highly recommend that you look at the candidates and fully understand the job and qualifications that are needed for this position.

I endorse Patti Paris for this position and hope you will consider her too.
