Moses Lake man involved in car/pedestrian accident

CLE ELUM — Washington State Patrol officers are investigating an accident near Cle Elum in which a Moses Lake man hit a pedestrian who allegedly stepped out into the roadway. The man was transported to Harborview Medical Center.
The accident occurred about a mile east of Cle Elum on SR 970 about 11:30 p.m. Wednesday, according to a state patrol press release. The man, Christopher Glondo, 42, of Ellensburg was walking on the shoulder, and apparently stepped into the eastbound traffic lane. He was hit by a car driven by Mason Beeman, 33, Moses Lake.
Both Glondo and the car came to rest in the westbound lane, the press release said. The case is still under investigation.
