MOSES LAKE — In a continued effort to reach every neighborhood in the city, the Moses Lake Police Department will be holding another community outreach program this weekend.

Sunday’s outreach program will be the eighth held in the city and will be taking place at The Assembly at Moses Lake, 431 E. Brown Ave., starting at 4 p.m. The program is free and allows community members to ask questions about the MLPD, as well as community issues and neighborhood concerns, according to MLPD Chief Kevin Fuhr. The chief added that he “can only assume” that a discussion will take place about homelessness in the city.

Fuhr previously explained the MLPD teamed up with the Moses Lake Ministerial Association to do a series of small, neighborhood group meetings in the city in conjunction with Moses Lake’s churches. The overall goal behind the meetings is to reach every neighborhood in the city on an individual basis. At past meetings Fuhr, a handful of his officers and MLPD administrative staff were present to answer questions.
