City of Warden Notice of SEPA Determination of Non-significance NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT the City of Warden has determined that the proposed Sewer Line Extension Project is not likely to result in significant adverse environmental impacts and has issued a Determination of Non-significance. Project Description: The project would extend the wastewater collection system to better serve its users within the City limits. This includes the installation of approximately 3,870 LF of 8-Inch gravity sewer, 420 LF of 2-Inch gravity sewer, and 2,900 LF of 6-Inch force main. As part of this project, a new access road will also be constructed to the lift station. Project Location: The proposed project site parallels the USBR East Low Canal Easement approximately 10 ft south of the southern border of the easement from approximately 300 ft west of the Columbia Basin Railroad Mainline for approximately 2,200 ft. The project then parallels Basin Street to Road U SE. A copy of the threshold determination for this proposal may be obtained upon request to the City of Warden . NEWS RELEASE PREPARATION FOR LOGIC AND ACCURACY TEST In preparation for the November 6, 2018 General Election, a Logic and Accuracy Test will be performed. A "test deck" of ballots will be scanned. This test verifies that the system will correctly count the votes cast for all candidates appearing on the ballot. NOTICE: ANNOUNCEMENT OF AVAILABILITY OF DRAFT PERMIT MODIFICATION PERMIT NO.: ST0008066 APPLICANT: City of Mattawa PO Box 965 Mattawa, WA 99349 FACILITY: City of Mattawa Wastewater Treatment Plant 23780 Road U SW Mattawa, WA 99349 The City of Mattawa has applied for a State Waste Discharge Permit (SWDP) modification in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 90.48 Revised Code of Washington (RCW) and Chapter 173-216 Washington Administrative Code (WAC). The City submitted a letter to Ecology dated August 16, 2018 requesting that Ecology amend the City of Mattawa's State Waste Discharge permit by extending the due date for the Hydrogeologic Study Results that are required to be submitted per Section S9.2. Ecology is issuing a draft amended permit and fact sheet amendment and is only accepting comments on the modified portions. The wastewater, following treatment, must meet the requirements of the Washington State Water Pollution Control Act and applicable regulations for a permit to be issued. A final determination will not be made until all timely comments received in response to this notice have been evaluated.
