Katherine Cora Sweet

It is with great sadness that the family of Katherine Cora Sweet (known as Kathy) announce that she went to be with her Lord and savior. She passed peacefully at her home in Moses Lake Washington on Sept. 29, 2018 thus leaving behind Allan D. Sweet, husband of 62 years; sister Lucia Schubert and three children Steven, David (spouse Camilla) and Laurie (spouse Michael) along with nine grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Kathy was most often called “Nana.” Her spiritual gift was to mother and grandmother anyone whom God set in her path. You could always find her with a hug, a smile and words of encouragement. She could always help find a silver lining in challenging times.

Allen and Kathy were best friends and walked through life hand-in-hand. He was one of the greatest joys in her life. She loved to travel south for the winter with him. The other joys in her life that include Allen and family were trips fishing, hiking and camping. Some of things she did in her spare time were gardening, painting, sewing and making jam.

Come join family for a memorial service at 2:30 p.m. Oct. 13, 2018 at Moses Lake Christian Church, 200 E. Yonezawa Blvd, Moses Lake, Wash.
