September 19, 1952 – October 31, 2018

Carla Bragg McMullen Gutierrez, 66, of Warden received her angel wings on Wednesday, Oct. 31, 2018 after a lengthy battle with cancer.

Carla was born Sept. 19, 1952 to the late Carl V. Bragg and Willeen M. Weaver in Twin Falls, Idaho. After the family moved to Washington, Carla attended school in Moses Lake but graduated from Connell in 1970, after the family moved so Carl could get a new potato plant up and running.

After graduation Carla returned to Moses Lake where she met and married Patrick Michael Timothy McMullen on Feb. 3, 1972. Tim and Carla welcomed their son Sean Patrick McMullen on Aug. 27, 1973.

After Tim’s death on April 30, 1975, Carla was a grieving widow until she met Roland V. Gutierrez. Roland became the love of her life. Roland and Carla welcomed their son Alexander Juan Gutierrez on July 14, 1980. After many happy years together Carla and Roland finally made it official on Dec. 20, 2014 in Las Vegas with a fun Elvis wedding attended by family and friends.

Carla was an extremely accomplished cook, baker, gardener and crafter. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend to all of us who knew and loved her.

Carla is survived by her mother Willeen Bragg; her son Alex and his wife Megan and grandson Jonah; her Bragg brothers John, Bob and Brian; her sister Cathy Cerrillo and special niece Heather along with other numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins who she loved dearly. She is preceded in death by her husband Roland, her father Carl Bragg, her son Sean Patrick McMullen, her dog Ivy and other beloved family members.

The service and celebration will be held on Dec. 1, 2018 at Lake City Foursquare Church, 333 N. Central Dr. Moses Lake with Oscar Ochoa officiating. The family invites you to join us for a sandwich, finger foods and refreshments buffet celebration after the service. Feel free to bring something if you wish.
