WENATCHEE — Reigning Class 1B state champion Almira/Coulee-Hartline (ACH) will have an opportunity to go for two titles in a row this weekend at the Tacoma Dome.

Fresh off an historic 100-point game in the quarterfinals, ACH advanced to the championship game with another rout against Naselle, 82-28.

The game was tied 8-8 in the first quarter, however, like the quarterfinals against Crescent, ACH created separation with several unanswered touchdowns — six, to be exact.

A dominant run game in the quarterfinals gave way to an aerial attack in the semifinals. Maguire Isaak passed for 391 yards and five scores. Isaak added 162 yards and three touchdowns on the ground.

Hayden Loomis was the main beneficiary of Isaak’s arm. Loomis was on the receiving end of touchdown passes of 53, 54 and 78 yards. Gage Burchill and Brayton Shafer also caught TD passes.

The 1B championship will be a rematch of Week 6 as top-ranked Odessa took care of business in its semifinal against Quilcene, 65-6. Odessa handled ACH with a bruising ground game to win the regular season meeting 56-22.

Marcus King rushed for 177 yards, scored five touchdowns and returned a kickoff 94 yards for good measure against Quilcene. King totaled 204 yards and four touchdowns in the previous game against the Warriors.

The Class 1B championship between No. 1 Odessa and No. 2 ACH is on Dec. 1, 4 p.m., at the Tacoma Dome.
