Street Tree Lighting set for Saturday in Moses Lake
MOSES LAKE — Moses Lake’s downtown corridor will light up for the holidays on Saturday and locals have the opportunity to get in on the action by attending the Moses Lake Business Association’s (MLBA) annual Street Tree Lighting event.
The annual event will kick off at 4 p.m. in Sinkiuse Square with Dale Roth serving as the night’s emcee and live entertainment planned for the evening.
The lights will go on at 6 p.m. around Sinkiuse Square and attendees will be treated to the spectacular view of downtown Moses Lake lighting up for the holiday season. A new addition to the celebration is a 19-foot tree, which was decorated by the City of Moses Lake, in Sinkiuse Square that was donated by 13th District Senator Judy Warnick and her husband Roy.
“We get excited for the holidays downtown, shopping our local merchants. We’ve got so much to offer. Decorating downtown happens with so many volunteers, including our local Job Corps students,” MLBA Executive Director Brandon Nicholas said. “Turning on those lights is the beginning of the holiday season. I hope you’ll come downtown and meet your local merchants, see what they have to offer. With over 200 businesses downtown there’s something for everyone.”
