Moses Lake pushes Wenatchee to five sets, falls in district semis

YAKIMA — Moses Lake pushed second-seeded Wenatchee to five sets, but lost in the District 6 semifinals 25-13, 25-22, 23-25, 29-31, 15-11.

Head coach Jennifer Gering praised her team’s effort after falling behind by two sets.

League champion West Valley quickly dispatched Wenatchee to add another district championship 25-14, 25-16, 25-7.

ACH into state semifinals

YAKIMA — Almira/Coulee-Hartline (ACH) swept away its first two opponents at the 1B state volleyball tournament to reach today’s state semifinals.

The Warriors beat Tacoma Baptist in the first round 25-15, 25-17, 25-15 and Providence Classical in the quarterfinals 25-11, 25-14, 25-12.

ACH’s semifinal match is scheduled to begin at 11:45 a.m.
