Body of west side teen recovered from Banks Lake
ELECTRIC CITY — The body of a 17-year-old boy from Lynnwood who went missing Friday night near Steamboat Rock State Park was recovered by a dive team on Saturday.
David V. Fesko was reported missing by friends about 8:30 p.m. Friday night after they witnessed him attempt to swim to shore following a fall off of a personal flotation device. Fesko went under the water and did not resurface, according to the Grand County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies, state park rangers and boaters scoured the area until nightfall on Friday and were not able to find the teen. A dive team with the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office arrived Saturday morning and Fesko’s body was found about 6 p.m. that night.
