CBHA Mother's Day event celebrates physical activity, music, and gardening for good health
Adults and children gathered in the parking lot of the Othello Clinic for an event dedicated to Celebrating Mother’s Day by promoting physical activity and healthy eating habits.
On May 10, 2018, children ages 3 to 10 years old, dressed in colorful costumes made by the parents and staff, performed dances to promote physical activity in children. The girls in the photo are dancing to a traditional song called Vuela Paloma. CBHA event organizers Martha Mabry, Leo Gaeta, Marisol Quezada and Cindi Hogeboom were very pleased with the turnout.
“We had lots of parents and kids; everyone was having a good time enjoying the dances, the speakers, and the ‘Gardening for Good Health’ activity!”
Applications for the Gardening for Good Health are due by May 30, 2018 in the Family Services Department. Picture by Magali Valdez of CBHA.
