Eric Johnson, 37, of Ephrata passed away in his sleep on May 13 in his home. He was born in Moses Lake, Wash. on June 5, 1980.

He graduated high school at Quincy, Wash. in 1998 where he played football and was on the wrestling team. He started working for Les Schwab right after high school, working for them at several locations in Washington. He married Katie Lynch in August of 2012 and together they had daughter Kaydence in November of 2009. In 2016, he left Les Schwab and worked with his brother Jason at Jason’s shop in Quincy until he started work at Moses Lake Industries in 2018.

He loved golfing, boating, shooting and most of all spending time with Kaydence. He had a special smile and a way of making friends with everyone he meet.

Eric was survived by his daughter Kaydence Ann Johnson, mother Cindee Johnson of Everett, father Steve Johnson of Moses Lake, sister Gina Moen (Josh) of Everett, brother Jason Johnson (Brandi) of Ephrata, sisters Holly Storer (Terry) and Heidi Hobson (Shane), both of George, brothers Neil Sligar (Shalynn) of George and Zach Sligar (Holly) of Ephrata and many cousins, aunts and uncles. His memorial will be a potluck picnic at Montlake park in Moses Lake June 2 at 11 a.m.
