Press Release: This is a reminder that Candidate Filing Week begins Monday, May 14th, 2018. Candidates filing in person will file at the Grant County Election Department located on the 2nd floor of the Courthouse, Room 203 in Ephrata, beginning May 14th at 8:00a.m. it will continue through Friday May 18th at 5:00p.m. The attached list states the positions that are open for filing for the Primary to be held on August 7, 2018. A person filing a Declaration of Candidacy for an office shall, at the time of filing, possess the qualifications specified by law for persons who may be elected to the office. The candidate must be properly registered to vote in the district represented by the office at the time of filing. Electronic filing opens Monday, May 14th at 9:00 a.m. and closes Friday, May 18th at 4:00 p.m. The acceptance of candidate filings submitted by mail will be accepted beginning 10 business days before the opening of filing week, which will be May 1st. The filings by mail are retained for processing until filing opens for all candidates. Candidates may submit a signed request to withdraw their Declaration of Candidacy before 5:00 p.m. on Monday, May 21st. Filing fees are non-refundable. Notice of Application and Proposed DNS May 7, 2018 Notice is hereby given that a Grading Permit application and SEPA checklist received by Grant County on April 16, 2018 from the E & A Bateman Living Trust (Designated Contact: Eric Bateman, PO Box 157, Royal City, WA 99357) were found to be technically complete on April 30, 2018. Grant County expects to issue a Determination of Non-Significance for this proposal, and the Optional DNS Process in WAC 197-11-355 is being used. DESCRIPTION: This proposal is for site preparation, including placement and grading of approximately 6,667 cubic yards of fill, for the purpose of creating a level area for the future construction of a single family residence along with the associated accessory structures. ADDITIONAL PERMITS: Grading Permit. STUDIES REQUIRED: None. LOCATION: The subject site is located approximately on Road 10 SW approximately 4.5 miles north east of the Royal City city limits.
