Fabulous franks for customer appreciation

MOSES LAKE — It has become a tradition for the owners of Faber Industrial Supply to thank their customers with tool sale and a serving of hot dogs. For 2018 the “Faber Famous Fabulous Frankfurter Friday” was celebrated Friday.
The company sells industrial equipment, from portable circular saws to air compressors, cleaners, cutters and grinders, flashlights and glovers, even shop towels. Famous frankfurter Friday – the name was coined by the previous owner – has been the company’s way of thanking its customers for at least 25 years, employees said.
Customers in overalls and work shirts looked over the sale items both outside and inside the shop, and were invited to line up for a hot dog.
“Can I double dog it?” a customer asked the cook, Dave Helms.
“Oh, yeah,” Helms said.
Helms and fellow Lions Club member Robin Hickok were helping at the grills. Lions Club members have volunteered to cook the dogs for so long nobody could remember how long.
No good hot dog party is not complete without chips and a soda, and those were provided also.
