Speaker series coming to Royal City Library

ROYAL CITY — The philosophical implications of sports and the affects they have on culture and humanity will be discussed at Royal City Library on May 3.

As part of the Humanities Washington Speakers Bureau, Mike VanQuickenborne of Everett Community College will be resenting his talk “The Good Game: On the Moral Value of Sports” beginning at 6 p.m.

The discussion is just one of the four speaker programs that is held at the library each year explained librarian, Shannon Stewart. Each of the speakers that visit the library are from the HW Speakers Bureau.
