Catherine Simon

Catherine Simon, 92, passed away on March 7, 2018, with her family by her side. Cathy resided in Moses Lake and was born in Carrington, N.D.

She loved spending time with her grandchildren, socializing, playing cards and games with her many friends, and had a wonderful attitude that brought joy to those around her. She was a devout Catholic who loved her church and congregation.

Cathy is survived by her sons William Varney, Robert (Joe) Varney and wife Gayle, Tim Varney and wife Joan and one sister Trish Gage. She is also survived by six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two husbands, five sisters and one brother.

Special thanks to everyone at Brookdale Senior Living as well as the emergency room and nursing staff at Samaritan Hospital for the comfort and care she received.

Rosary will be at the Catholic Church in Moses Lake on April 13, 2018, at 10:30 a.m. Mass will follow at 11 a.m. She will be placed in the Church columbarium following Mass. There will be a luncheon at the Church following the services.

Memorial donations in memory of Cathy may be made to Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Moses Lake.
