The update is a state-mandated update pursuant to RCW 36.70A.130, and must be completed by June 2018. The project includes, but is not limited to: a complete review and update of the comprehensive plan and certain development regulations, re-evaluation of the Agriculture Designation resulting in removal and addition of certain properties to and from the designation, consolidation of the Rural Residential 1, 2, 3 zones into a single Rural Residential zone, creation of a Rural Resource designation and zone. SEPA: The Grant County Comprehensive Plan has an integral Environmental Impact Statement (EIS), the original EIS has been adopted by reference and an addendum to that EIS has been issued for this update cycle (see Chapter 12 of the draft plan).
