MOSES LAKE — The Central Washington Home Show is coming to the Grant County Fairgrounds this weekend.

“We are really excited about the home show,” said Home Show director Rosalie Black, of Columbia Basin Publishing, the Herald’s parent company and organizer of the event.

“Anyone planning on building, renovating or remodeling their home won’t want to miss this,” Black said. “There will be a lot of ways to improve your home.”

The home show will be held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m, Saturday, March 24. Admission is free, and there will be activities for kids organized by Home Depot and Lowes, a food vendor, and a drawing for a free one-night stay for two at the Coeur d’Alene Resort.

In addition, Lowes is slated to give away an outdoor grill and accessories and Home Depot will be giving away a fire pit.

Matt Moore, one of the co-owners of Moore Furniture in Ephrata, said he was excited to be one of the Home Show’s sponsors this year, along with WTH Custom in Moses Lake.

“This is our first year,” Moore said. “We’re new to the appliance world, and we’re one of the few places that delivers free to Moses Lake.”

Moore said his company is involved in sponsoring the Home Show this year as a way of “improving our exposure to Moses Lake.”

“We are a one-stop shop for appliances, furniture and flooring,” Moore said.

“There will be a lot of experts there and a lot of opportunities to make your house a home,” Black said. “And it’s a great way to spend a Saturday in Moses Lake, great fun for the whole family.”
