VA town hall coming to Ephrata Thursday

EPHRATA — If you are a veteran, service provider or family member of a veteran then you might want to clear your schedule Thursday morning and attend the Governor’s Veterans Affairs Advisory Committee Town Hall meeting in Ephrata.

The meeting, organized by the Washington State Department of Veterans Affairs, will be held at the American Legion Post 28, 276 Eighth Ave. NW in Ephrata, from 10 a.m. to noon. Organizers say attendees will have the opportunity to meet local leaders and providers and learn about different services for veterans and issues surrounding veterans that are being discussed by state lawmakers.

Attendees will also receive information on: employment, education and housing benefits, compensation, pension and military funeral honors, counseling, financial assistance and family support, Veterans Health Administration healthcare and how to apply for state and federal benefits.
