NO [ ] EPHRATA TRANSPORTATION BENEFIT DISTRICT PROPOSITION NO. 1 SALES AND USE TAX FOR TRANSPORTATION IMPROVEMENTS The Governing Board of the Ephrata Transportation Benefit district adopted Resolution 2018-01 concerning a sales and use tax to fund transportation improvements. This proposition would authorize a sales and use tax of two-tenths of one percent to be collected from all taxable retail sales within the District in accordance with RCW 82.14.0455 for a term of ten (10) years for the purpose of raising revenue to acquire, invest in, finance, construct, improve, provide, operate, preserve, maintain, and fund transportation improvements in the City of Ephrata. Any qualified elector who is not registered to vote in the State of Washington may register to vote in person at the Grant County Elections Office up to and including April 16, 2018. Public Notice Grant County Mosquito Control District #1 (GCMCD) is announcing the beginning of the spray application season. The district will be utilizing multiple insecticides for 2015. These include Vectobac GS, VectoMax FG, Altosid XRG, Natular G, Natular G30, CoCo Bear, Anvil 10+10, Duet, Zenivex and Merus. The active ingredients of these insecticides are Bacillus thuringiensis israelensis, Bacillus sphaericus, Methoprene, Spinosad, mineral oil, Sumithrin, Piperonyl Butoxide, Prallethrin, Pyrethrin, and Etofenprox. Spray applications will begin in March and continue through October 2018, all of which are weather dependent. Treatment locations will be within the mosquito control district boundary which can be found on our website www.gcmcd1.org. More information about the insecticides planned for use can be found at www.clarke.com.
