Theresa D. White

Theresa D. White, 91, of Moses Lake, Wash. quietly passed away, Saturday, March 10, 2018. She was born to her parents George and Matilda Berthiaume, in Massachusetts. In 1945, she married a Navy man, Wendell Jay White (now deceased). After starting their young family, her husband changed his military career to the U.S. Coast Guard so they lived and raised their 12 children in Port Angeles, Wash. She loved having her family around her and going to the Catholic Church wherever she lived, to participate in daily Mass and praying the rosary. Theresa, also enjoyed having her budgies (parakeets), one of which she trained to recite all of the “Peter Peter Pumpkin Eater” rhyme. She enjoyed reading and working with her aquarium fish.

Theresa is survived by 11 of her children: Wendy Botsford, Moses Lake; Cynthia Spencer, Port Angeles, Wash.; Matilda (Leo) McBride, Woodinville, Wash.; Wendell Jay (Soila) White Jr, Moses Lake; Fausta (Kenneth) Baldwin, Pennsville, N.J.; Mary Christe (Earl) King, Rohnert Park, Calif.; Virginia Bean, Moses Lake; Nora (Mike) Stevenson, McCleary, Wash.; Annamarie (Darryl) Ortiz, New Mexico; Angela Bays, Pasco, Wash. and Elizabeth White. She is also survived by 26 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter Addelina Garcia Brown.

Besides her husband Wendell Jay White, Sr., she was preceded in death by her second son, Mark Alfred White, some years ago.

Viewing will be held from noon to 1 p.m. Monday, March 19, 2018 at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church. Holy Rosary will be prayed at 12:30 followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 1 p.m. Interment will be in Fort Lewis Cemetery, Fort Lewis, Wash. on Thursday, March 22, 2018 at 1 p.m., next to her husband.
