Olympic Records Camp Track and Field Clinic at Wahluke High School

MATTAWA – Five former Olympic medalist are expected to be on hand at Wahluke High School Saturday, March 17 to help aspiring track and field athletes in the 5th- 12th grade hone their skills and techniques during the Olympic Records Camp Track and Field Clinic.

Scheduled to appear are High Jump Gold Medalist and inventor of the Fosbury Flop Dick Fosbury; World Record Holder and Silver Medalist sprinter Willie Banks; World Record Holder and two-time Silver Medalist in the Long Jump, Mike Powell, and 400 meter Hurdles Gold Medalist Andre Lamar Phillips.

The clinic gets underway at 9 a.m. and wraps up at 4 p.m. Cost of admission is $10 for Wahluke athletes and $20 for visiting athletes. Call Wahluke track coach Joel Dugan at (509) 932-1300 or email him at jdugan@wahluke.net for more information.
