Ken Haugen

Ken Haugen, 68, a loving husband, devoted dad and papa, passed away in Las Vegas, Nev. on Feb. 27, 2018 after a long illness.

He is survived by his sister whom he loved more than life itself, Teri Van Camp. He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Willetta ( Latty) Haugen, his brother Kip and grandson Kegan Stillwaugh. He is survived by his wife of 46 years Susan, his son Jason and his daughter Jeanna. He is also survived by grandchildren Diego Haugen, Taylor and Harley Stillwaugh and Shyanne Alvarez and three great-grandchildren Jayden, Jonney and Annabelle. He has numerous nieces and nephews, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, special family friends the Raul Garay family, and many beloved members of the community whom he served. Ken graduated from Soap Lake High School in 1968 and received his AA Degree as an Appliance and Refrigeration Technician from Spokane Community College. He worked for Sears in Spokane, Wash. and for Easy Home Furnishings and Metro Appliance in Moses Lake before fulfilling his lifelong dream of owning his own business, Ken’s Appliance.

Ken was diagnosed with cancer in 2013. In 2014 he was forced to close his business and seek treatment in Spokane, Wash. He later moved to Las Vegas to live with his daughter, wife and son. It was bittersweet, having to close his business but finally being able to have his family together again, all under one roof.

The family invites you to a Celebration of Life to be held at Emmanuel Baptist Church, 516 E. Nelson Rd. Moses Lake, Wash. March 24, 2018 at 2 p.m. A reception will follow.
