A female teenager was taken to the hospital after she threatened to hurt herself with a kitchen knife because she did not want to go to school.

A father was contacted at Midway Elementary after he was yelling and cursing at school staff after his child was suspended. The man apologized and left school grounds.

Report of a $400 pair of prescription sunglasses stolen out of a vehicle in the 1400 block of East Megan Drive.

A man was arrested for fourth-degree assault after a physical incident in the 800 block of South Hawthorne Drive.

A man was pulled over for reckless driving and his car was towed due to having another recent citation for reckless driving.

A minor in possession of a firearm was arrested in the area of East Sharon Avenue and South Monroe Street.

An unknown male suspect stole multiple bottles of shampoo from Lep-Re-Kon Harvest Foods and fled the scene.

Grant County Jail

Feb. 28

Chad Moore, 29, of Ephrata, was arrested and booked for fourth-degree assault.

Wayne Hauser, 29, of Quincy, was booked on an outstanding Grant County District Court warrant for driving with a suspended license and a Department of Corrections secretary's warrant.

March 1

Nicholas Brown, 33, of Moses Lake, was arrested and booked on a DOC secretary's warrant for possession of a controlled substance.
