Wanted suspects nabbed near Othello

OTHELLO — Three wanted suspects with warrants out for their arrest were nabbed after a pursuit and search near Othello on Wednesday.

About 1:15 p.m. Adams County deputies were on patrol in the 1900 block of West Atkinson Road and spotted an ORV traveling at a fast speed on the road. The driver of the ORV, alleged to be Moses Lake resident Patrick Pearson, continued driving and failed to stop when deputies attempted to pull the ORV over.

Pearson reportedly drove into a field and deputies camped out at the spot where they first spotted the ORV. The ORV returned to the area a few minutes later, but Pearson took off driving again. At some point the ORV started to mechanically fail and Pearson attempted to flee on foot. He was taken into custody after he was tased by deputies.

“Patrick did not have a good story as of why he was at the property. The ORV he was driving had a punched ignition, the vehicle on the property had a steering column which appeared to be tampered with, and the attached trailer had vin (vehicle identification)/serial numbers taken off,” stated the ACSO in a release. “The property owner was contacted and confirmed no one was to be on the property, or inside the residence.”

Deputies searched the property and reportedly located Monica Ann Gonzalez, of Moses Lake, hiding in a closet at the residence on the property. K-9 teams from Grant County responded to aid the ACSO and a third suspect, Kevin Beamish, of Yakima, turned himself in when the K-9 teams arrived. All three of the suspects were taken into custody and booked into the Adams County Jail for outstanding warrants. Each of the suspects are facing new charges of residential burglary and first-degree possession of stolen property. Pearson is facing additional new charges of attempting to elude and resisting arrest in connection with the ORV pursuit.
