Passenger vehicle collides with bus

| June 28, 2018 2:35 PM

MOSES LAKE — A mid-sized passenger car ran into the back of a privately owned bus carrying 29 adult workers at the intersection of Milwaukee and Broadway Avenue at 5:46 p.m. Wednesday.

According to Sgt. Dean Gadis with the Moses Lake Police Department, the bus stopped for the railroad crossing and the vehicle traveling behind did not, colliding with the privately owned bus.

The driver of the passenger car, Brandon Esparza of Warden, was transported to Samaritan Hospital.

The nursing supervisor at Samaritan would not confirm or deny the driver was treated by the hospital.

Editor’s note: The story corrects a previous version that incorrectly reported a school bus was involved.
