Fire chars buildings on Airway Drive in Moses Lake

MOSES LAKE — A fire in Moses Lake burned several outbuildings on Airway Drive in Moses Lake early Wednesday morning.

The fire, located in the 4200 block of Airway Drive Northeast, broke out about 7:15 a.m. in a series of plywood buildings. Firefighters with Grant County Fire District No. 5 and the Moses Lake Fire Department responded to combat the blaze, which was located at a local landmark known as the “Castle,” according to Grant County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Kyle Foreman.

Firefighters are expected to be at the scene for a couple of hours stomping out hot spots and investigating the cause of the fire. The public is asked to avoid the area. There was no reported injuries.
