Lois Norene Price, 82, of Ephrata, Wash. went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, June 21, 2018. Lois was born in Fairplay, Colo. on July 11, 1935. She moved with her family to Cascade Valley near Moses Lake in 1951, then to a farm, which they broke out of the sagebrush in irrigation Block 41. She graduated from Moses Lake High School in 1953 and pursued a career in nursing at St. Luke’s School of Nursing in Spokane. She met her future husband Larry Price in the spring of 1956 and they were married on May 18, 1957. She graduated from WSC in 1957 and worked as a nurse until she “soon had too many kids to continue working outside the home.”

They purchased a farm next to her parents in 1960 and began farming after Larry’s graduation from WSU in 1961. After eight years on the farm, they traded it for a larger one on Dodson Road south of Ephrata where she lived until her death.

She is survived by her husband Larry; children Lyndon (Melody) of Moses Lake, Wendy (Ron) Stapish, Amy (Pardner) Noreen, Maxine (Denny) Lawler and Tim ,all of Spokane; sister Peggy of Tucson, Ariz; 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents Loyd and Alice Goehri, brother Jack and grandson Cameron.

She was loved and admired by all who knew her and will be greatly missed. A memorial in her honor will be observed at 11 a.m. at Grace Point Church, 327 C St. SW in Ephrata on Saturday, June 30, 2018.
