4 ML softball players named to 4A All-State
MOSES LAKE — The six-time Columbia Basin Big Nine league champion Moses Lake softball team, which won back-to-back district titles this season, received a little recognition from the Washington State Softball Coaches Association.
Four Moses Lake players were named to the Class 4A All-State Team when the coaches association made its announcement last week. First baseman Brooke Richardson and outfielder Brooklyn Bailey were second-team selections to the prestigious list. Pitchers Gina Skinner and Savannah Ashley were honorable mention.
Jackson pitcher Iyanla Pennington, who led the Timberwolves to their first state championship, was named the Class 4A state player of the year and Jackson coach Kyle Peacocke was the Class 4A coach of the year.
