| June 22, 2018 1:00 AM

MOSES LAKE — Big Bend women’s basketball will try to impart some of the skills that led the team to the NWAC Tournament semifinals during a camp in July.

The Vikings are hosting a basketball day camp July 16-20 for female athletes between second and ninth grade.

The camp will focus on the basic skills of basketball: passing, shooting, ball-handling, defense and rebounding. Advanced techniques and drills are also available for more experienced players.

All sessions are held in the DeVries Activity Center from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. with instruction from collegiate coaches and players, including Big Bend head women’s basketball coach Preston Wilks and Big Bend alumna and Westminster College player Ali Winters.

The camps costs $110 with a buffet-style lunch offered for an extra $35; pre-registration is encouraged.
