AppleSox lose series finale to Sweets

WENATCHEE — The AppleSox lost their series finale to the Sweets 10-4.

Wenatchee held a 1-0 lead before Walla Walla erupted for five runs in the third inning. The deficit never fell below four runs for the rest of the game.

Jacob Prater hit an RBI single in the first inning to give Wenatchee its only lead of the game.

AD Pena and Sam Swenson added RBI singles in the sixth and eighth innings, respectively.

After the big third inning, Walla Walla added to its lead with RBI doubles from Nick Nyquist and Danny Sinatro.

Wenatchee travels to Port Angeles today.
