Wenatchee receives solid pitching in win over Walla Walla

WENATCHEE — Troy Stainbrook struck out the side in the ninth and the AppleSox beat the Sweets 3-1.

Wenatchee got on the board first when hometown kid Jacob Prater singled home Michael Spellacy in the first inning.

Walla Walla tied the game in the fifth inning, however, Wenatchee retook the lead in the home half when Alix Garcia smashed a two-run homer.

That 3-1 advantage held up through Stainbrook’s save.
