Thief steals car with kids inside
OTHELLO — Othello police are searching for a thief who stole a vehicle that had two children inside over the weekend. The children were not harmed, but the suspect is still on the run.
About 11:40 a.m. on Sunday an unknown male stole a 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee from an Othello apartment complex. The male reportedly didn’t know there was two young children in the Jeep when he initially took off and he dropped the children off around the corner unharmed, according to the Othello Police Department on Thursday.
The children returned home and phoned 911. The OPD says the Jeep is still missing as of Thursday evening. If you have any information on the Jeep or suspect contact the Othello Police Department at 509-488-3314. People offering information can remain anonymous.
