Accidental drowning found to be cause of woman's death

| June 21, 2018 3:00 AM

COULEE CITY — The death of a Wenatchee woman at Park Lake last week appears to have been a result of accidental drowning.

The Grant County Sheriff’s Office says Danielle Rea Combs, 43, of Wenatchee, was a passenger in a vehicle Friday morning when her companion pulled over near Park Lake about 3:30 a.m. to rest. As her companion was sleeping, Combs “apparently” walked to the edge of Park Lake and fell into the water.

Comb’s companion couldn’t find her and called for help about 8:30 a.m. Combs’ body was located near the Park Lake shoreline about 11 a.m. Grant County Coroner Craig Morrison’s office performed an autopsy on Tuesday and investigators have not found evidence of foul play.
