James Grant Monday

December 28, 1984 – April 21, 2018

James Grant Monday passed away on April 21, 2018 as a result of a car accident in Spokane, Wash. James was born on Dec. 28, 1984 in Phoenix, Ariz. In 1988 his family moved to Othello, Wash. where James grew up and attended school.

In 2009 James met Martha Rodriguez and they were married on June 23, 2010. In 2013 they moved to Spokane, Wash. where they resided at the time of his passing.

James is preceded in death by his father Darrel Monday. James is survived by his wife Martha Monday; mother Terry Mills and stepfather Dennis Mills; children Justine Monday and Evan Monday; stepchildren Steven William Chandler Rodriguez, Devin Ray Rodriguez, Samuel Ray Riojas, Jazmyn Danae Riojas and Gabriella Denise Riojas; sisters Crystal Miller and Katie Monday and brothers John Monday and Matthew Jordan Ohl.

James loved his family and friends. He loved fishing, even when he wasn’t catching anything. James enjoyed camping and boating and spending time around the barbecue. James loved good food and fine dining with his wife and family. James had an amazing sense of humor, always making everyone laugh, almost to the point of tears. James was an avid Seahawks fan and loved playing fantasy football. James was loved by many and was friends with everyone. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

A graveside service will be held at Bess Hampton Cemetery in Othello, Wash. on June 9, 2018 at 11 a.m.
