The Building Industry Association of Washington has hired Greg Lane as its new executive vice president. Lane started the job July 18.
The BIAW lobbies the state legislature, regulatory agencies and others to limit the scope of regulation and taxes in the building industry. The associations also provides businesses services varying from insurance programs to legal services.
Lane brings 20 years of executive and administrative experience to the executive vice president position. He formerly served as Washington’s deputy secretary of state for three years, worked for the public interest network TVW as president and CEO, and served as deputy chief of staff for former Attorney General Rob McKenna.
“I’m honored to assume the role of Executive Vice President of BIAW and to be part of an organization that is extremely valued by its members and respected by leaders in both government and business in our state,” Lane said. “I’m excited to get started and begin working on behalf of home building members in Washington.”
