C.A.S.T. for Kids fishing event canceled

MOSES LAKE — Unforeseen circumstances have prompted organizers of the annual C.A.S.T for Kids fishing event for kids with special needs to cancel this year’s outing.

The event, organized by the Bureau of Reclamation’s Ephrata Field Office, was scheduled to take place this Saturday at Potholes State Park. Officials say they are not planning on rescheduling the event this year.

The C.A.S.T (Catch a Special Thrill) program takes children with a wide-range of specials needs out on one-day fishing and boating expeditions.
