BELLINGHAM — Wenatchee scored three runs in the top of the 11th inning to beat Bellingham 6-3.

The AppleSox held a 3-1 lead before the Bells rallied to tie it with two runs in the seventh inning.

Bells 2, AppleSox 0 (Saturday)

BELLINGHAM — Despite a stellar pitching performance from Curtis Bafus, the Wenatchee AppleSox fell to the Bellingham Bells, 2-0, in a tight game on Saturday night at Joe Martin Field.

Bafus matched a season-high with nine strikeouts and tossed six scoreless innings before allowing a couple runs with one out in the seventh inning. Unfortunately for Bafus and the AppleSox, it was his second straight start in which he went six innings and allowed only one earned run, but suffered the loss.

Bells 13, AppleSox 1 (Friday)

BELLINGHAM — The Wenatchee AppleSox (12-18, 1-3 second half) dropped the series opener with the Bellingham Bells, 13-1, on Friday night at Joe Martin Field.

The AppleSox and the Bells met for the fourth consecutive day, this time for the first time in Bellingham. It was the Bells who picked up a win for the third consecutive day.

Centerfielder Evan Williams went 2-for-3 to extend his hitting streak to five games, but the AppleSox could not stop a potent Bells’ offense. Williams recorded his second consecutive multi-hit game in the loss.
