February 7, 1951 – July 5, 2018

Jude Anne Northern-Thaut, 67, resident of Bridgeport, Wash., formerly of Moses Lake, Wash., passed away on July 5, 2018.

Jude was born in Everett, Wash. on Feb. 7, 1951. She graduated from Ephrata High School in 1969. After high school, Jude traveled in Europe and lived in Germany for three years. She loved painting and was an amazing self-taught artist who gained her inspiration by watching wildlife, especially birds, at her home.

Most of all, Jude enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, husband, and other family members. Over the years, many others also came to consider her a mom or grandma. Jude volunteered at various schools and was a parapro for the Bridgeport School district before retiring. She was a God-loving woman, and she served in many capacities at the churches to which she belonged throughout the years. Jude is remembered as a beautiful and loving person who had a lot of spunk and a thirst for adventure. As a 13-year cancer survivor, she was a support to other patients. Her wonderful soul and sense of humor graced the lives of those lucky enough to have known her.

Jude is survived by her husband Robert, her daughter Seonaid and her husband Joseph, her son Jason and his husband Alex and her daughter Lacey and her husband Darrel. She is also survived by her grandson Derek and his wife Katelin; her granddaughter Elliott; her great grandchildren Aiden, Valor, and Ivy; her sisters and brothers Barbara, Kerri, Kelli, David and Michael and their families and by many loving relatives by marriage.

Jude was preceded in death by her parents Howard L. Northern and Marjorie M. Downard; her brother Daniel; her stepfather James; her mother-in-law Dorothee and her stepbrothers Tim and Terri.

The chapel service will be held on July 17, 2018, at 10 a.m., at 157 C. St. NW, Ephrata, Wash. Interment service will follow at Valley View Memorial Park in Soap Lake, Wash.
